I arrived home last night to notice my Generator had a red light with an alarm for cranking. I was unable to start it after clearing the alarm and then tried again this morning with no luck. I called Moriarity for Help! They were on top of it and told me they could get a technician out to me today! I was thrilled since I am leaving for 3 weeks and want to have a Generator operational. Tyler showed up with a Great Attitude!! He went right to work, when he pushed start it ran.... of course... However he said the valve adjustments can cause this. He inspected them and found them very tight. After adjusting the valves, checking the spark plug he ran it again and it started better and sounded good! He then said let me check the voltage. ( there had been no indication we had a voltage problem). The Voltage was very low even though the generator was running at speed and frequency.. After some troubleshooting and reference it was determined to clean the brushes and slip ring for the Generator. This required a significant disassembly.... He found them dirty, cleaned the slip ring, reassembled and then back in business!! The Voltage was correct and all working well!! I was so impressed with Tyler and the way he methodically went through the generator and found a problem we didn't know we had. ( who knows how long the voltage hasn't been correct, since we haven't needed it in over 2 months). This ended up taking way longer than either of us had anticipated but now we have a fully functional generator and great service visit. I can't recommend Moriarity Electric Highly enough!

Some of their techs installed a new 14k generator and were excellent. They were knowledgable, friendly, informative and very helpful. We could not have been more pleased. It's a great company all around.

Thanks for sending your team to fix our generator last night! Heading in to the second full night with power outages, we are grateful to have had a generator installed about twelve years ago by Moriarty Electric. Last night was the first time we had a problem with it. The technicians that came out did a great job diagnosing and fixing the problems. It is now running great. Thanks to Marc for taking our initial call and responding promptly. High quality service and expertise.

I just wanted to thank you for the excellent service provided in the installation of our Generac Stand -BY Generator at 63 Sassafras St. in Wells Maine.For our first meeting with Mike in Dec. of 2023 to the completion of the order on Feb. 5th, everyone who was at our house was knowledgeable and courteous, understanding our needs and requirements.I do not recall the names of the two gentlemen who dropped off and placed the generator, but it was exactly to plan.Cody and Cooper did a great job with the electric and the same for Meghan and Clayton completing the gas work and getting our app and unit online.All communication from Phone scheduling to in person was professional.

This company clearly know what customer service means! From Meagan the contact on the phone to the installers they were professional, respectful and so patient with my 7 dogs! They installed our generator and We are so happy that we chose them to do the job!

“We are impressed with Moriarty’s highly competent staff, collaborating as problem solvers, to address a complicated system of issues with a Generac generator. Our introduction to the Moriarty crew began with a call from the office staff referencing a possible manufacturing defect in the fuel plenum, with the potential of a gas leak during generator operation, and risk of a fire. The tech disassembled the generator, identified the defect in the plenum, documented a manufacturer’s replacement and a redesigned part was installed that same day. Moriarty, an authorized Generac Service Dealer, was directed by Generac to contact us based on the serial number of our initial generator registration.

Completing the Premium Standby Service following the plenum replacement, the tech had difficulty balancing the fuel-air mixture for smooth generation operation. After persistently exploring all possible causes with the generator itself, he moved on to check the gas supply line to the generator. Here he discovered that the generator shared the propane supply with four additional appliances connected to the piping in the house with just one gas pressure regulator. Generac requires a separate regulator for a generator since the fuel demands are different from household appliances.

The Moriarty gas supply specialist proposed the addition of a second regulator to the propane tank and a simple reconfiguration of the gas supply to the generator. The gas supply was redirected and operation of the generator immediately became steady. Problem solved! We have signed on with Moriarty Electric Company for all future generator and electrical service contracting!”
