Moriarty Electric Can help with Generac’s Ecosystem. Generac’s Ecosystem consists of PWRCell 2 (inverter, Battery Cabinet, Smart Disconnect Switch, PWRMicro), Ecobee Smart thermostat, EV Charger, PWRManager and Standby Generator. The system can be installed in multiple combinations to supply your power outage needs and budget to achieve a Return On Investement (ROI).

 

The installation can be from as small as PWRmico and solar panels to a bottomless battery combination with solar, battery/inverter, and standby generator. The bottomless battery acts in a power outage the home will run on batteries until the battery levels drop to a specified level, the system will have the generator turn on powering the home and recharging the batteries. Once the batteries are charged the generator will go back to standby allowing to conserve on fuel and the home never losing power giving a peace of mind.

The PWRcell 2 system consists of a battery cabinet, inverter, Smart Disconnect Switch (SDS), and PWRMicro.

  

  • Battery Cabinet contains the battery modules and has energy capacity of 9-18kWh, can stack up to two cabinets for a total of 36kWh of storage capacity. Max Continuous Power is 11.5kW with two cabinets with at least 7 batteries.

    • Store the extra energy produced by your solar panels that your home is not using for when the sun goes down.

 

  • Inverter converts battery power (DC) to useful house power (AC). Charges the batteries in the battery cabinet converting AC power to DC.

 

  • Smart Disconnect Switch (SDS) Safely connects Solar Energy, Battery Storage, Utility (street power), and Standby Generator to your home. The SDS controls the transition of the different powers to your home.

 

  • PWRMicro is a solar microinverter that will convert two solar panels DC power to AC power that is sent to the Smart Combiner where multiple PWRMicros are combined. The solar production can be monitored in real time using your smartphone, tablet or Ecobee by Generac Smart Thermostat. Can also monitor and track the performance of each individual panel.

The Generac Ecobee Smart Thermostat uses Generac’s Home Energy Management combining ecobee’s Smart Thermostat with Generac’s Standby Generator, PWRcell 2, PWRmicro, PWRmanager, EV-Charger and propane monitor acting as your homes central communication center for these products all while acting as a programable thermostat.

 

The Ecobee Smart Thermostat is compatible with most HVAC systems, conventional and heat pumps, radiant, multistage and dual fuel systems. The Smart Thermostat offers smart home integrations and comes with a downloadable, mobile application for remote monitoring, visibility, and control.

 

The Ecobee Smart Thermostat does more than just monitoring basic temperature control. It is capable of programmable schedules allowing to turning down the heat at night while sleeping or when away at work or traveling. Because it is connected to the home’s WIFI network, the thermostat can be monitored and programmed remotely through an app.

 

The Ecobee will display real time Standby Generator status, monitor propane tank usage, monitor the battery status of the PWRcell 2 system to be able to make informed decisions about the homes temperature settings, homes load use, etc… to maximize the use of the batteries. The Ecobee Smart Thermostat by Generac comes with a 5 year Limited warranty allowing homeowners peace of mind.

The PWRmanager is an advanced load management device that is used along with the PWRcell 2 system to control up to six 240Vac circuits and two low voltage thermostat HVAC control circuits. The PWRmanger is connected to the homes WIFI network which allows the PWRmanager to be controlled and monitored by PWRView and Ecobee Smart Thermostat. Loads can be turned on and off either automatically or manually or kept off during a power outage to help conserve the PWRcell 2 battery supply. This will dramatically improve the system performance of the PWRcell 2 system.
